You’ve read the books.
Listened to all 62 episodes of that self help podcast.
You can name your triggers, map your patterns, and you’ve cried your way through at least three therapy sessions this quarter.
You’re not unaware.
You’re not avoidant.
You know the things.
And yet…
One vague Slack message sends you into a spiral.
One text with a period at the end makes you question your entire relationship.
One wrong tone from your kid and you’re snapping, then shame-spiraling 0.2 seconds later.
It’s Not a Mindset Problem. It’s a Nervous System Pattern.
You’re not broken. You’re just wired.
Wired to react.
Wired to survive.
Wired to protect yourself in the only way your body has ever known.
Its not woo. Its science sis.
It doesn’t matter how many hours you’ve spent with your therapist if your nervous system still thinks calm = unsafe.
It doesn’t matter how “aware” you are if your body still believes the worst is coming or that too much joy is irresponsible because it wont last.
It doesn’t matter that you know how you want to respond if your system, if your body, is still choosing what’s familiar.
You’re not missing anything.
You’re just stuck in a loop your brain can’t solve.
You Can Never Outthink What Your Body Believes to Be True
Because safety isn’t logical. It’s felt.
You can know the right words to say.
You can rehearse the boundary in the mirror.
You can write the “perfect” Im way overdue for a raise email.
But the second your nervous system detects threat, real or remembered, it’s game over.
Fight.
Flight.
Freeze.
Fawn.
Pick your flavor.
And when that kicks in, your body’s like: “Cool story, self-awareness. But I’m gonna go ahead and shut down anyway.”
So What Do You Actually Need?
You don’t need more information.
You need integration.
Something that goes deeper than journaling.
Something that doesn’t just give you language for your trauma but helps you alchemize it.
You need a space where your body gets to feel something different.
Where calm isn’t scary.
Where rest isn’t guilt-inducing.
Where boundaries don’t feel like bombs.
Where presence doesn’t come with panic.
Here’s a Quick Way to Interrupt the Pattern
Try this the next time you feel the spin starting…
Put your hand on your chest. One on your belly.
Name out loud what’s true right now. Not what you’re afraid might happen.
- “I’m safe in this moment.”
- “I can feel this without needing to fix it.”
- “I feel my feet. I feel the chair beneath me. I’m allowed to pause.”
And pause.
Don’t force calm. Just be with what’s there. Notice where you feel tension. Or a tightness in your belly. Or your throat feeling a little tight.
Let your body be seen by you.
That’s the start.
That’s the difference between awareness… and actual regulation.
Awareness lives in your mind. Actual regulation happens in your body.
The Bottom Line?
You already know what you want.
You already know how you want to feel.
You just need support that goes beneath the surface.
That’s what I do.

You don’t need more knowledge.
You need to feel the truth of what you already know.
Let’s go there.
